73 Vette

by Jim DeChurch

This project is a lifelong dream of mine, that started about eight years ago (although it really didn't get started until about three years ago). That's when I finally said "Okay, It's time to take it apart and do it right, from the ground up". I expect it to take about another five years to complete, if not a little longer. But my wife figures it'll be worth it, since it will actually be my wife's car to drive, due to the fact that my true love is riding my Harley (although building a car from the ground up runs real close). If you have any suggestions or points of contact that can help out please sign our Guest Book at Jim's Harley PAGE or at the bottom of this page. Keep checking back as there will be more pics to come. With winter on the way I hope to get alot done in the near future!

This is the when I first bought it.

This is after it had been driven for years and we decided to restore it.

This is the frame right after the body was removed. What a chore!

Frame waiting for clean-up and repairs.

Looks a little better (actually ALOT BETTER), doesn't it?

Finally, a little something back together. More to come soon... (It's a $$$ thing).

Well some good progress. (It's rolling!!)

I finally got the engine and tranny built. Guess it's time for the good stuff now!

Well, maybe it ain't so good!

Now that it's back together, I guess it wasn't that bad. But still along ways to go.
